The Chalet has very easy access
into the Grand Massif ski area via the nearby gondola
lift (200 metres). Moriollon is the home of the 2006 downhill
Olympic champion Antoine Denariaz. The range of skiing available
is suitable for all levels from the very easy green runs through
to the really challenging black and off piste slopes. The area
also boasts the longest pisted slope in France, 14 km from the
top of Flaine to the village of Sixt.
The close proximity of Mont Blanc has
ensured that the Grand Massif has one of the most reliable snow
records of Europe. Other Activities include:-
- Ski du Fond - one of the largest in
Europe.
- Ice Skating at Samoens.
- Racquet walking.
- Quad bikes.
- Skidoo riding.
- Paragliding.
From Flaine you can arrange husky driving
or ice driving on a special circuit.
There is also the choice of other ski resorts, both the Chamonix
Valley and the Portes du Soleil are only 1/2 hour drive away. |
